Willow Tree Little Kindergarten awarded OFSTED ‘Outstanding’

Staff at the Willow Tree Little Kindergarten in Fishponds were delighted when the setting was rated ‘Outstanding’ by OFSTED following a recent inspection. 

 

Elodie Rummage, Kindergarten Manager said, “I am thrilled and proud that the hard work of our exceptional kindergarten team has been recognised in this way. It has really given us a  boost, particularly after a tough couple of years in the pandemic.”

 

The OFSTED report rated the kindergarten ‘Outstanding’ in all areas, observing that: “Children thrive in this exceptionally warm and welcoming setting. They arrive

excited, happy and eager to start the day.” The report goes on to praise the calm environment,  attentive, responsive staff and exemplary behaviour of the children.

 

Lily Clark, Lead Teacher at the Little Kindergarten commented, “As teachers we know that we do all we can to provide a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment for all of the children at our setting. We work hard to build strong relationships with the families of our children too, and the parents recognise how special the home-from-home environment that we provide is. The validation of our approach by the OFSTED rating will help us to reach more families and continue to provide an exceptional standard of early years care to the Fishponds community.”

 

In 2021, only 18% of early years settings in the UK were rated as Outstanding by OFSTED*, putting Willow Tree Little Kindergarten in the top fifth of providers in the country.
