Kindergarten Assistant/SENCO Vacancy

The Willow Kindergarten, an independent Steiner setting in St Werburghs, Bristol, is looking for a term time only Kindergarten Assistant/Senco to start ASAP.

 

Applicants must hold a minimum of Level 3 Early Years Qualification (classed as a full and relevant qualification to work in Early Years, as specified on the Early Years Qualification list from DfE), and have relevant experience of working with young children.  Applicants who have prior experience of working in a SENCO role are preferred, although training can be provided. Prior experience or knowledge of Steiner Waldorf Education is beneficial.  Applicants who hold current Paediatric First Aid, Food Hygiene, and Child Protection certificates are preferred, although training can be provided.     

 

Duties include setting up the room before each session and tidying away afterwards, assisting with activities, and preparing foods for snacktime. Senco duties include assessment and monitoring of children in the setting in relation to SEN requirements, and providing additional support where required.

Administrator Vacancy
Willow Tree Steiner School Ltd in Bristol is looking for an Administrator (10 hours a week). Initially working alongside the current administrator, with a view to full handover after a few weeks.  The successful candidate will work closely alongside a finance administrator to ensure the smooth running of the Kindergartens.

 

The Administrator duties will include: managing databases and waiting lists for 2 Kindergartens and 2 Parent and Child groups; assisting with staff recruitment and managing ongoing staff training; keeping up to date with EYFS and government legislation and updating policies; liaising with Local Authority, Ofsted, and Steiner Waldorf School Fellowship; responsibility for website maintenance; reporting to teachers and Trustees; liaising with parents;

 

You will need a basic understanding of and sympathy with the principles

of Steiner Waldorf education; good IT skills; ability to work independently; proactivity; diligence; professionalism; flexibility; excellent communication skills;

Parent and Child Leader Vacancy
Willow Tree Steiner School Ltd is recruiting a new Parent and Child Leader to start in September 2022.

 

We hold 2 sessions a week during term time, on Monday and Tuesday mornings between 9.30-12.00, for children between 0-3 and their parent/carer.

Applicants should have prior experience or knowledge of Steiner Waldorf Education, and experience of working with young children.  Applicants who have been trained on the Steiner Kindergarten Teacher course are particularly invited to apply.  Applicants who hold current Paediatric First Aid and Food Hygiene certificates are preferred, but training can be provided.

We will be offering a 16.5 hours a week, term time only, with hours as follows:

Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday 08.00-13.00,

and staff meeting Monday 13.45-15.15
